This past Monday and Tuesday riders went to the Oregon State Capitol to present their case for Lane Sharing.  They did an awesome job!  The presentations were well thought out and very well articulated.  Testimony was heard in two parts in the Senate Judiciary Committee.  Unfortunately the Committee ran out of time on Monday and so five witnesses came back to testify on Tuesday morning.  Much thanks to Christopher Slater, Attorney, for organizing the panel of riders and experts.  Also much thanks to BikePac of Oregon and all the riders and witnesses that testified.  Riders did encounter opposition from this bill from the Oregon Dept. of Transportation, AAA, and the Governor’s Advisory Board for Motorcycle Safety (a panel of 8 Oregon motorcyclists).  You all should be very proud how well our community represented themselves this week.  Very nicely done!  The video link is below:
